It was 2020, and we were both selected for the Disney College Program, assigned to work in Galaxy's Edge at Walt Disney World. We were also both chosen to assist with a certain top secret project happening at the time. One afternoon, while Trevor was venting about a particularly brutal section of Jedi: Fallen Order, Allie simply could not stay quiet about it. One Star Wars conversation turned into many, and just like that, a friendship was born. For the next several months, we were nearly inseparable, spending our days living out a dream in the heart of Walt Disney World and our off hours deepening a friendship that neither of us quite had words for yet. Then 2020 had other plans. Our internship was cut short by about two and a half months, sending us back to our respective homes, heartbroken but determined. We said our goodbyes with a promise to stay in touch. We kept that promise. For the next year we called every single day, sometimes for hours at a time. We planned trips to see each other, and somewhere along the way, during one of those visits, we decided to stop pretending it was just friendship. In May of 2021, we closed the distance for good and moved to Orlando together and we never looked back. Our Florida years were full of sunshine, kayaking, theme parks, and our absolute favorite tradition: Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. It became our place in a lot of ways, which made it the perfect setting for what came next. In 2024, on a Premium Scream Night at Halloween Horror Nights, Allie surprised Trevor with a photo of our pets posed around a ring, hanging in Universal's iconic Tribute Store and proposed right then and there. He said yes. What Allie didn't know was that Trevor had already planned to propose the very next day with a personalized scavenger hunt through Universal. Naturally, she also said yes. Two proposals, one weekend. We always knew Virginia was in our future, a new chapter waiting just around the corner. So we decided to wait on wedding planning until we made the move. That move is now behind us, the planning is officially underway, and after everything, the secret project, the long distance calls, the two proposals, we are more ready than ever.
