We're getting married!

Even though we were both living in Cedar Falls, we met in Ames at an Iowa State football game in 2017, through our mutual friends. When we got back home to Cedar Falls, we started hanging out with that friend group more and quickly became fast friends. Spenser would flirt shamelessly with me and try to get my attention any time we were together. He was always trying to be the loudest and goofiest in the room. I saw that and more- someone who was kind, who was a friend to everyone, and had some sparkle in his eyes for me. I was playing hard to get and his seriousness about me scared me away... Well, I’m glad he didn’t give up on me because 2 years later, I came to my senses. Without even having a first date, I invited him to Thanksgiving with my family, whom he’d never met, 2 hours away on my parents farm! (It took some real guts for him to show up to that.) Needless to say, he passed the test. 5 thanksgivings later and he’s not only still my best friend, but my future husband, and the best dog dad! And we're getting married on the same farm where I fell for him and he took a leap of faith for me. This has been the best 5 years together and I can't wait for a lifetime. Cheers to forever!
