Sarkis and Allie both attended boarding school at Arkansas School For Mathematics, Sciences, and The Arts. They met in Spanish class junior year, and Allie immediately liked him. Sarkis’s roommate senior year was Louis John Lammers, a hometown friend of Allie’s and Sarkis’s future groomsman. This caused Sarkis and Allie to spend more time together and eventually start dating April 4th, 2018. They went on to go to senior prom together. Sarkis never believed he would go to the University of Arkansas and Allie believed she’d never go anywhere except the University of Arkansas. God had other plans for them, and Allie attended Baylor University and Sarkis attended the University of Arkansas as a Sturgis Fellow. Allie and Sarkis have moved to over 6 cities, all while being long distance so they could pursue their doctorates in medicine and audiology. After 8 years of long distance they are ready to be together forever.

Allie, Sarkis, and Louis John Lammers planned a trip to summit and ski Mount Shasta, one of the largest volcanos in the Cascades. On the third day into their hiking trip they arose from their tents at 2:00 AM to summit the mountain. Unbeknownst to Allie, Sarkis planned on proposing at the top of the mountain. Allie unfortunately contracted altitude sickness around 12,000 due to the strain of their load and the lack of oxygen. This was approximately 2,000 ft below the summit. Allie requested to stop and let Sarkis and Louis summit without her, not knowing a proposal was waiting for her at the top. All three hiked across the mountain to a rockslide area to find a perfectly cleared circle in the rockslide debris. It was the only flat spot they had encountered in the last few thousand feet of elevation, and a surprise to everyone. Sarkis decided then and there that this spot, right then at sunrise, was the perfect spot to propose instead of the summit. While Allie looked out on the mountain they just climbed Sarkis got on one knee and pulled out Allie’s grandmother’s ring and asked her to marry him after 7 wonderful years together. The three of them skied, snowboarded, and hiked down the mountain back to a surprise celebration waiting on them.
