Can I bring a plus one?

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the Dartmouth St entrance of the Boston Public Library at 6:45. The ceremony will start promptly at 7.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

All of the hotels listed are within a very short walking distance to the Library. Some are within 30 seconds of walking! Traffic within the city of Boston can be busy and unpredictable, so we recommend planning ahead if you intend to Uber or explore utilizing MBTA if out of walking distance.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, for the welcome party we request cocktail attire (Red Sox hats are welcome, just no Yankees attire!). For the ceremony and reception we request Black Tie (tuxes and floor length gowns). Dark suits are acceptable if needed.

Where do I enter for the Welcome Drinks at Fenway?

Answer

Guests will enter through a dedicated entrance to Fenway Park located at 14 Landsdowne St., just across from the House of Blues. If taking an Uber, we recommend getting dropped off near the corner of Landsdowne and Ipswich St, right by MGM Music Hall.

Do I need a ticket to the Red Sox game?

Answer

No! The welcome party is a private event at Fenway Park. There will be a guest list and check-in, so therefore no ticket is required, just be prepared to go through security!

Can I bring a purse to the welcome event?

Answer

Since the welcome party is at Fenway Park, we have to follow all typical rules associated with large sporting event venues. According to Fenway: "Bags must be single-compartment and no larger than 12"x12"x6". Backpacks, backpack-style purses, duffel bags, and other multi-compartment bags are NOT permitted." Bag check is an option in case of emergency, but please do not bring a bag larger than described! How do I get to the Red Sox game for the welcome drinks?

Answer

We recommend ubering or walking (if your shoes allow!). Another option is taking the T (our version of the subway). You will still have to walk 10-15 minutes if you take the subway. Most of the streets will be blocked off when you get near Fenway, so some walking will be required. For the least amount of walking, call your uber to MGM music hall, which is the closest drop off to the private entrance.
