Allie and Ryan’s story began in the Fall of 2018. They were introduced by one of Allie’s former co-workers, whom Ryan went to college and played basketball with. After a brief encounter earlier that year, they ran into each other at an NC State (Ryan) vs. ECU (Allie) football game, then again by chance after the game at a local brewery. They found themselves enjoying each other's company, discovering how much they had in common. With the courage of a Wolfpack win behind him, Ryan asked for Allie's number, nervously, she obliged, and they went their separate ways that night. The next day, Ryan went to text Allie, only to finally find out she actually entered 12 digits into Ryan’s phone. A few days later, without a way of contacting her, Ryan decided to message her on Instagram for his final shot. Luckily, Allie had made an honest mistake (she was VERY embarrassed), and the rest is history. Throughout 2019, Allie and Ryan’s bond grew stronger through memorable date nights, hangouts, shared adventures, and long walks, often accompanied by their third roommate and beloved dog-child, Ryder, a now 5-year-old Aussie-doodle. When Allie and Ryan are not in Raleigh, taking Ryder to their favorite coffee shops, restaurants, and parks, or Ryan isn’t trying to make Allie wear red to an NC State sporting event, they enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. Ironically, Allie and Ryan grew up only an hour away from each other, from Elon, NC, to Winston-Salem, NC, and continue to spend a lot of time in the Triad area with family. Their two favorite vacation spots are Mount Pleasant/Charleston, SC, and Colorado, and having family in both places, they are frequent visitors. From living with Allie’s sister and brother-in-law in Mount Pleasant during the early COVID period for over a month to annual trips to Colorado for outdoor adventures with Ryan's siblings, Allie and Ryan take every opportunity to make new memories. At the beginning of 2021, Allie and Ryan began their shared journey under one roof in Raleigh. About two years later, Ryan proposed to Allie on December 29th, 2022, in Pawleys Island, SC. This moment was filled with love and joy as they embraced the next chapter of their lives. Allie and Ryan are excitedly looking forward to their upcoming wedding day, surrounded by the warmth of their family and friends. They are grateful for the moments that brought them together and are eager to share their joy to those that can join them to celebrate their special day and future together!
