Los Angeles International Airport

LAX is a ~1.5 hour drive to Santa Barbara, but has direct flights from Newark (EWR), New York (LGA, JFK), Raleigh (RDU) and more. You can also connect to SBA though LAX. If flying to/from LAX, we recommend looking into a rental car or the hourly Santa Barbara Airbus, a clean and easy way to get to downtown Santa Barbara. Amtrak - Pacific Surfliner Route

If you're looking to fly into LAX and enjoy a beautiful scenic drive up the California coast without the hassle of renting a car, then this is the perfect option for you! It is fairly easy to get a train out of LA Union Station (located in Downtown) and into Santa Barbara as the route runs multiple times a day. The Santa Barbara Amtrak station is also centrally located in the main downtown area.
