FAQs

Question

How do we get into Fort Edmonton?

Answer

Just go straight up to the front gate and find someone in a blue shirt, no need to wait in line, and let them know you are here for the Murphy-Pedden wedding.

Question

How early can I get into Fort Edmonton?

Answer

As soon as the park opens that day! You just won't be able to take your seat in the theatre until 1:30. You are also welcome to stay and explore afterwards.

Question

How set in stone is that ceremony time?

Answer

If you are later than 2 pm then you'll have to wait outside to be let in once the ceremony has already begun. It's going to be a short and sweet one, so a few minutes early would be advised.

Question

Oh god! Why are there no hotels in Edmonton?

Answer

Suprise! There's a concert downtown. We recommend booking sooner rather than later.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not really? We want everyone to be comfortable. No matter if that's a ball gown or a pair of jeans. But something fancier would be appreciated, it's an occasion after all! And if you would like to avoid matching the bridesmaids they are in red.

Question

Should I wear heels?

Answer

Far be it from me to tell you what to do. Both venues are indoors and the path from the parking lot to the theatre is paved. But if you did want to explore the park either pre or post ceremony, there are some areas that are only boardwalk style sidewalks and some that are only dirt packed.

Question

Will you be serving alcohol?

Answer

Yes! It is a toonie bar. There is no ATM at the reception venue so please plan accordingly.

Question

Can I park at the reception overnight?

Answer

Yes! Overnight parking is not only welcomed, but encouraged if you've been drinking.

Question

What should I do if I suddenly can't make it?

Answer

Please feel free to text one of us and let us know to no longer expect you.
