Allie and Josh met through Josh’s ex brother in law when Allie was still in high school. After Allie graduated she found Josh on Facebook and they would talk every now and then. In 2015, Josh was hanging out with Allie and her best friend Kristin and when he left their apartment Kristin told Allie “that boy is crazy about you”. Allie brushed it off as nothing. The years went by and they would go in and out of touch. Allie went to nursing school and then moved to California in 2020. They reconnected in 2021 and still just would occasionally text back and forth as friends. On July 8th, 2023 Allie had told Josh that Kristin said he was crazy for her and he told Allie that her friend was correct. In September 2023 Josh visited Allie in California where she showed him a little bit of her world and on September 24th Josh asked if Allie would be his girlfriend. They did long distance, going back and forth, constant phone calls, and video calls. They discussed Josh moving him and his kids to California in the summer of 2025 but as the time went on, being long distance was wearing on them. Allie spent the New Year with Josh and his kids and then she decided that she was going to move back to Florida to be with Josh and his girls. Allie started to apply for jobs and Josh was out there on 2/14/24 to help Allie move across the country. They spent 7 days together, driving across the country and sight seeing. Once they arrived back in Florida they began living together and doing life together. They got a puppy (Stormy) and have been living a very happy life with each other and his kids. On September 15th, 2024 Josh asked Allie to marry him. She of course said yes! They are both so excited for their future together and so excited to have all their family and friends there to witness their union. 💜
