Over the years, Lazarus has been a consistent and reliable answer to the question, "where should we go" for breakfast, lunch, dinner, beers, coffee, Oktoberfest, post-airport pickup meal, casual hangs, and everything in between.
Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom
Zilker Brewing Co. has some of the tastiest beers Austin has to offer. Always a good idea. If you're hungry, try the Spicy Boys fried chicken food truck on-site. If you feel like playing a game of darts in a dive bar, check out Grackle across the street.
Barton Springs Pool
A huge, natural spring-fed pool at the center of Austin. The water is 68 degrees year round! We haven't met a hangover that Barton Springs couldn't cure.
Cuantos Tacos
Josh's most craved taco truck in Austin. Mexico City-style tacos that hit the spot.
Nickel City
One of our favorite neighborhood anytime bars. We celebrated Allie's birthday in 2020 here when we first started dating, so it has been a witness to our relationship from the jump!
Este
In a city full of incredible restaurants, Este is one of our favorites. Not just because of their exquisite seafood-focused Mexican cuisine, but also because of the fond memories we've shared here. From celebrating career milestones, family visits, to spontaneous weekend soirées, Este has a standing reservation in our hearts. Plus, the tuna tiradito might just change your life. Reservations recommended.
Suerte
A sister-restaurant to Este, Suerte is a phenomenal restaurant that blends traditional Mexican cooking techniques with local Texas ingredients. Reservations are ideal here. The suadero tacos are our favorite!
