Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place at Mildale Farm. The ceremony will be held at the estate house while cocktail hour and the reception will take place in the barn.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting) while cocktail hour and the reception will be held indoors

Parking can be found behind the barn where cocktail hour and the reception will be held

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time! The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm

Can I bring my kids/a plus one?

Answer

In order to ensure our guests have the most comfortable experience based on venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate those listed on the wedding invitations (including plus ones and children). Listed plus ones and children can also be viewed when you RSVP online.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

While we do not have a dedicated room block, we have listed a number of hotel recommendations which can be found under the travel tab.

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Dinner will be served buffet-style and will feature a variety of both American and Kenyan cuisine

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Answer

While there will not be dedicated dietary dishes at the buffet, our caterer is able to accommodate dietary restrictions with proper notice. Please make sure to notify us of any accommodations when you RSVP.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Thank you in advance for letting us know if you can make it by July 15th! You can RSVP here on the wedding website under the RSVP tab or by scanning the QR code found on your invitation.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. For the ladies, please wear any style/length of dress your are comfortable with. We only ask you refrain from wearing white. For the gentleman, we ask you wear dress pants/slacks and a button down shirt or jacket. Please refrain from wearing shorts/short sleeves or jeans. Please keep in mind that the barn floor and paths around the property are made of brick when deciding which shoes to wear.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather is expected to be relatively warm this time of year. While the plan is to have the ceremony outdoors, there is potential for it to be moved indoors if needed. Both the cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors with air conditioning. Please keep the weather in mind when thinking about attire.
