Katie and Allie met doing weddings together in 2019. A few wedding crises later, they were fast friends. Katie spent time in Japan dancing for Universal Studios after that, and, much to Allie's rejoicing, returned to CA to work for Joni and Friends and be closer to family. Watch out for her on the dance floor!
Tyler Paras
Best Man
Tyler is Jason's older brother and lives in San Diego, where he's completing his residency for Orthopedic Surgery. If you're ever in need of a surgeon who is an amazing chef, competitive chess player, and who competed in the weight lifting collegiate nationals, T-Bear is your guy. One last fun fact about Tyler: He used to be able to memorize the order of 2 decks of cards.
Tomi Underwood

Tomi and Allie met at Westmont through the missions trip, Potter's Clay. They were both on the sports team and, unfortunately for them, "sports" turned out to be only soccer - which neither of them played. Five days and twenty-some losses later, they knew they'd be longtime friends. This picture was taken of Tomi, her husband Cody, Jason, and Allie after the four successfully completed Jason and Allie's first escape room.
Erik Olson

Although they've known each other for 12 years, Erik and Jason became close friends 6 years ago when Jason threw Erik an alley-oop while playing basketball at UCSB (guy things). They spend most Saturday mornings together golfing, playing beach volleyball, or pick up basketball. Lastly, it's hard to say (but true): During basketball season, Jason receives more texts from Erik than from Allie.
Jordan Whalen

Jordan and Allie bonded at Westmont while on Jerusalem Semester. Several early morning hikes, cold smelly hostels, and just a few (okay maybe a lot...) of tears later, they were inseparable. Jordan lives in Sacramento with her husband, Luke, and their brand new baby.
Matthew Casper

Everyone needs a best friend in high school to cheat off of in math class (thanks Matt)! Friends since middle school, Jason and Matt's friendship has flourished through medical emergencies at parties in Nashville, way too much time on Call of Duty, and a mutual love for Barney Stinson.
Erin Carpenter

Jason introduced Allie to Erin and her two daughters while Jason was giving singing and songwriting lessons to the three of them. Through doing worship together, Allie and Erin became good friends. Erin's currently expecting their 3rd and her due date is November 7th...so she may or may not be present at the wedding!
Trevor Lee
Groomsman
Trevor is Jason's cousin and a sophomore at USC. While Jason is cognizant of the character issues Trev most likely has because of this Trojan blood (Go Bruins!), Trevor makes up for it by keeping Jason in the loop on the latest fitness and gaming trends. Trevor is pictured here with his sister, Lauren, the only girl on the Yamaoka side.
Olivia Carpenter

Olivia is Erin's oldest daughter and she and her sister, Jen, have been rooting for Allie and Jason since the beginning. Olivia is an extremely talented singer and songwriter and inspires Allie daily with her selflessness and sense of humor.
Griffin Yamaoka

Griffin is Jason's cousin and a sophomore at Carpinteria High school. Like Jason, Griffin loves all sports. During water polo season, Jason gives Griffin private lessons on how to kick and punch discreetly. Last season, Griffin's was a member of his varsity water polo team that won CIF.
Jennifer Carpenter

Jen is Erin's youngest daughter and is also a talented singer/songwriter. She and her sister, Olivia, are Jason and Allie's biggest fans. Before Jason proposed, Jen asked Allie almost every time they saw each other if they were engaged yet. Jason says that Jen reminds him of Allie so much that it's uncanny.
Ian Yamaoka

If you see photos of Ian with a blonde streak in his hair, it's because he has excellent fashion taste. Ian and Jason share two of their greatest life passions: Jesus and slaying n00bz on Fortnite. Also, if you go to Six Flags, look for Jason, Allie, Griffin, and Ian. They're probably on Goliath!
Lars Linton

Lars is the associate pastor at Anthem Chapel in Goleta. Lars has known Jason since he was born and has watched him grow up. Lars has been an integral part of Jason and Allie's story and served as an important mentor and confidante in Jason's life. Allie and Jason are so thankful to have him and his wife, Emily, as part of their wedding.
