Although Erik and Allie both grew up in the Portland area, they serendipitously met down in Austin, Texas. Allie was pursuing a graduate degree in public health; Erik was visiting his longtime friend (and Allie's new friend!) Kayla. After ten days of tacos, SXSW music, and a very rugged camping trip, both were smitten. ​ The next few months included countless texts and phone calls, a trip to Portland by Allie, and a "surprise" visit to Austin by Erik. The two started falling in love.  ​ Two years and one Goldendoodle later, on the top of Mount Constitution on Orcas Island, Erik popped the question. Allie said "YES!" and admitted that she had already started planning the wedding months ago.  ​ Allie and Erik are thrilled to celebrate their marriage with you!
