To tell you how he proposed I have to give you a little back story first. Daniel and I knew we wanted to get married early on in our relationship but there were some things along the way that postponed engagement and even though it was hard we continued to trust God's timing. Back in October we went ring shopping for the first time. I had picked out a ring but wasn't 100% sure about it. A few months later we went ring shopping again and I picked out my dream ring. That same week Daniel bought the ring so I knew the proposal was coming soon. I had said to Daniel "I am going to know when you are going to propose, you won't be able to surprise me because you are not good at lying" haha - His response was "challenge accepted." Monday March 22, 2021 I went into work like any other Monday but was disappointed that he hadn't proposed that weekend before. I could tell him and my mom were being a little shorter with me that day so I assumed it might be sometime after I got off work. Around 4 o'clock my boss asked me if I had a few minutes to catch up outside since it was a beautiful day (this is normal for him to do) so I didn't think anything of it. We approached the back door of our building and when he did I saw a white book laying on the ground. My boss said "I think you may want to go pick that up." I walked over and it was a white Bible with "Daniel & Allie Spencer - June 12, 2021" engraved on the front. Next thing I know Daniel tapped me on the back and was on a knee behind me. I wasn't sure if he would be able to get words out because of nerves but everything he said was perfect and from his heart. It could not have been a more perfect proposal. He DID surprise me and He asked me to be his wife!! So many prayers answered and a huge testimony to the faithfulness of God. We both were just so full of joy. After he proposed we went back to my parents to celebrate with family and friends. We are so blessed.

Daniel and I met at an event called Faith Driven Entrepreneur in October of 2019 - the company Daniel works for was hosting it - We both caught each other’s attention but I had just had my heart broken and he just got out of a fling - neither of us were looking for a new relationship at all - Months go by and both of us are content in our singleness as we pursued Jesus - People kept bringing me up to him at church so he starts to pray and seek God about me - Our paths keep crossing via mutual friends ( I was invited to a Friendsgiving at his place when he wasn’t even there haha) Come December 31st we both were serving at Passion Conference on different teams but got placed at the same section at Mercedes Benz Stadium - He saw me sitting by myself one of the days at conference and decided to come chat. He told me he was reading my devotional To: My Single Friends and what his favorite days were so far (he’s an angel) - After conference on January 5th he took me out on our first date and we’ve been together ever since. - Ladies there isn’t a day that has gone by that I haven’t felt pursued and loved by Daniel - do not pursue a guy, let him pursue you. You are worthy of that. The right one will pursue you because he will see your worth. - Men be intentional. Make things clear. If she tries to play games then it’s not right. Pursue a woman who is after Gods heart. You won’t regret that. - God is good at being God friends. His story is never how we plan it but so much better than anything we could dream up on our own. He knows exactly what we need and when we need it. He will answer and exceed every prayer in due time. Do not lose heart and do not give up. Seek first His Kingdom and I promise the rest will fall into place. We hope our story encourages you.
