We have a hotel block at the Holiday Inn recommended in our travel section. Please mention that you are part of The Smith - O’Connor block while booking (or use our website link)! We also recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid rooms filling up!
We would recommend the Holiday Inn linked in our "Travel" section. This hotel has a Big E's bar (we know how the O'Connor family loves a good post-wedding bar situation). If you prefer Marriott, there is a SpringHill Suites nearby (which will not have any hotel block).
While we LOVE your kids and wish venue capacities were not a real thing, we are having an adults only ceremony and reception with the exception of those participating in the ceremony. You are more than welcome to bring your kids with you on a Midland weekend getaway but ask that you have a nanny or sitter for the duration of the ceremony and reception. We totally understand this is difficult to coordinate and really appreciate your understanding!
We are looking forward to getting dressed up with our guests on our big day! Our wedding will have a cocktail attire dress code. We are requesting no jeans please! Gentlemen, please feel free to wear a suit or dress shirt. Ladies, a cocktail dress or dressy seperates are great!
While we are not planning on having a welcome party, we do plan to grab a drink in Downtown Midland after our rehearsal dinner. Our rehearsal dinner will be wrapping up around 8PM at Three Bridges Distillery. Feel free to shoot us a text to come meet us and say hi!
We are having a Catholic wedding ceremony so it will likely be between 45 minutes to an hour.
We are still finalizing our shuttle options, but plan to have the shuttle running from the reception venue to the Holiday Inn we recommended in our travel section. Keep in mind there are no Uber/Lyft options in Midland - so the shuttle will be a safe option to transport you! Please note the shuttle may not be able to drop off at other hotels you may choose.
Saint Brigid is right in the heart of downtown Midland. There are a few fun bars in the area to grab a drink and kill some time! We would recommend Three Bridges Distillery and Taproom, Oxygen Lounge, ONe eighteen, or Witchcraft Taproom. Those are all only about a block away from the church! Near these bars there is also the famous Midland Tridge. If you've never seen a three-way footbridge... now is your chance!
