FAQs

Question

What do I wear to the wedding/reception?

Answer

We invite guests to wear light, coastal tones like tans, soft blues, and other neutral colors. Flowy fabrics and relaxed styles are perfect for our beach setting (think maxi dresses, linen outfits, button-downs, and sandals or flats). For planning purposes, temperatures that week are typically around 90° during the day and mid-80s in the evening. Our ceremony will also take place in the sand, so we recommend choosing outfits and shoes that are comfortable for a beach setting.

Question

How do I book my room/flight?

Answer

Please book your room, flights, and transportation through our travel agent, Allison Rostance, using the contact information below. This ensures you are included in our wedding room block, as the resort requires the majority of our guests to stay within our reserved accommodations. Question

How long should I stay at the resort?

Answer

We recommend guests stay from August 3rd (Monday) through August 7th (Friday) so we can celebrate and enjoy the resort together! You’re welcome to arrive earlier or extend your stay, just keep in mind that after the wedding, we’ll be enjoying some private honeymoon time :) Please note that the resort requires a 2–3 night minimum stay, depending on the room type.

Question

Do I have to stay at the resort?

Answer

We recommend that guests stay at Dreams Playa Mujeres, as our wedding depends on meeting a room block requirement with the resort. Staying on-site also allows you to fully enjoy the all-inclusive experience and spend more time celebrating together!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. Other than that, please feel free to capture and share! Be sure to tag us using #icedout2026 so we can see all your photos.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. Be sure it is not expired and will be valid for your travel dates.

Question

How do I get to the resort from the airport?

Answer

Transportation can be arranged through our travel agent when booking your stay. We recommend booking transportation in advance for a smooth arrival.

Question

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Answer

Yes! Your stay includes all meals, drinks, entertainment, and most activities.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We purposely chose a Dreams resort location as they are family-friendly.

Question

Do I need to bring cash?

Answer

No, cash is not required, as the resort is all-inclusive and includes meals, drinks, and most activities. However, you are welcome to bring small bills for tipping or any off-resort excursions if you choose.

Question

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Answer

If you need to cancel your room, our travel agent will go over all cancellation deadlines, potential fees, and travel insurance options with you when you call to book.

Question

What if it rains on the wedding day?

Answer

Weather in the area is typically brief, on-and-off showers. In the event of heavy rain or a storm, the resort has a beautiful indoor backup location for both the ceremony and reception, so everything will still go smoothly.

Question

How do I know which event I am invited to?

Answer

Your digital invitation will indicate which event you are invited to, including the specific date and location, whether that is the wedding at the resort or the Welcome Home Party. You will also only be able to RSVP on our website for the event you are invited to.
