Things To Do

We are so excited to show you all the things we love about living in Colorado. Below are recommendations for some of our favorite things about living the Centennial state.

Coors Field

2001 Blake Street, Denver, CO 80205

For those in town before the wedding and looking for activities - the Colorado Rockies take on the Chicago Cubs Thursday (June 11th) @ 1:10pm.

Coors Brewery Tour

502 14th Street, Golden, CO 80401

Tour one of your favorite breweries or better yet, just go to the tasting room for some Coors history and a few pours. The Golden Mill is another cool bar in Golden, Colorado where you can get one of the freshest Coors in town.

Fairplay / South Park City Museum

100 4th Street, Fairplay, CO 80440

Fairplay is the closest city to our wedding venue that has a grocery store, bars and restaurants. The city also hosts the South Park City Museum, which is a historic reconstruction of a mining town from the days of the Colorado Gold Rush.

Breckenridge and Frisco

Breckenridge, CO 80424

Breckenridge has a historic downtown with great shopping, restaurants and views. You can ride the gondola up for free in the summer and explore some of the nearby hiking trails. Frisco is just 15 minutes north and has a more laid back mainstreet with our favorite thrift store and the Ein Prosit Bier Haus.

Buena Vista, CO / River Rafting

Buena Vista, CO 81211

A cool little town 40 minutes from Fairplay that has a nice downtown and is know for its river rafting. June should be a decent time of the year for rafting - but check online before heading out there.

Vail / A Swiss Villiage in the Rockies

Vail, CO 81657

Vail is a ski town that is approximately an hour and ten minutes from Fairplay. While skiing will be over by June the town offers European-style feel with shops and great place to grab a bite and a drink.
