June 21, 2024 will forever be one of the most magical days of our lives. Benett made it an unforgettable all-day event filled with surprises, love, and so much joy. He woke me up early that Saturday morning to kick off the day with a run through the beautiful Abernathy Greenway Park. Afterward, we picked up breakfast from my favorite spot—Playa Bowls—and grabbed coffee from General Muir. We had the sweetest little breakfast date outside in the square near the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, sitting by the stage and turf lawn, just enjoying the morning together. Once we got home, Benett told me to shower, get dressed, and pick out something nice because he had a surprise planned. Before I knew it, we were pulling up to Yonah Mountain Winery. We walked hand-in-hand through the vineyard, and at the very top, I saw the most beautiful, intimate picnic setup—blankets, flowers, music, and photos of us everywhere. Then, Benett got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! I completely blacked out from happiness, but of course, I said yes! After calling our closest friends and family to share the news, Benett told me we had dinner reservations near my parents’ house. But first, we were going to stop by their house to show them the ring. Little did I know, we would never make it to dinner—because when we walked through the front door, we were greeted by a room full of all our favorite people! Our families and closest friends had gathered to surprise us with the most incredible proposal party. We celebrated all night long, surrounded by love, laughter, and happy tears. Benett (with the help of our amazing loved ones) truly outdid himself. It was the perfect start to forever.
