Friends and Family, It is with sad hearts that we have made the decision to postpone our wedding until August 1st. With the circumstances and uncertainties posed by the virus, we wanted to make the best decision for everyone’s general health. The silver lining is that we still plan on getting married on May 23 with our immediate families. We will be sending out change the date cards and kindly ask those who are invited to re-RSVP online when those cards are received. Stay safe and God bless. With Love, Alec + Allie
The fact that Allie and I did not meet before we did is pretty remarkable. Attending the same church in the fall of 2018, Allie was also roommates with my cousin and we shared a lot of mutual friends. It wasn’t until one of those mutual friends decided it would be good for us to meet that we finally did. Going into that first setup date, both of us had reached a point where we had given up on seeking out relationships, so both of us headed into it with zero intentions of anything serious. I remember the exact moment I saw Allie. I was sitting in the back seat of Carrie Cowart’s car as we picked her up, and I was filled with the same intense butterflies that I still get every time I see her. As the night went on, our conversations came easy and the lack of nervousness we both felt was very noticeable. We both left knowing that there was something special neither of us had ever felt before. Although we still don’t know why we hadn’t met before we did, we do know that God’s timing and plan is greater than anything we could imagine for ourselves. That setup date turned into a first date, and many more dates followed shortly after. There was a lot coffee, conversation, and TV involved which became a pretty consistent theme in our relationship. Knowing that Allie was someone I wanted to spend every second of every day with, I asked her to be my girlfriend at Radnor Lake just 22 days after we had met. As the months went by, we both fell very hard and very fast and by April we both knew that we wanted to spend our lives together. As the leaves started to change, my plans to propose began to fall into place. Realizing that there was no way I could hold onto the ring for more then a few days, the plans got moved up (by a couple months). On September 13th, 2019 I had the joy of asking Allie to marry me in the same place that I had asked her to be my girlfriend. We are so excited to start our new life together as husband and wife and can’t wait to celebrate with you!!
