We met on a cold, rainy day at the Janesville dog park. I was babysitting a friends dog who needed constant interaction and for my own sanity took her to the dog park for the second time that day. I didn't expect to see anyone there so I had no makeup on and my most tattered sweatshirt. After a half hour of throwing the ball to the dog I began to leave. As I turned around I saw Albert walking up and a the first thing I thought was, "OMG he's so pretty"! Remembering how I looked I shuffled past him as quickly as possible to the trail back to my house. When I had almost reached my drive way, his huge jeep pulled up and he nervously asked if I needed a ride home. Remembering what my mother drilled into my head as a kid, I said no to avoid getting into a strangers car. He scrambled through asking for my number so that we could go to the dog park together soon. Having gone through a few recent disaster zone relationships I would have said no, but there was something special about him that I couldn't say no to so I gave him my number. We went on a first date a few weeks later and mutually agreed that we couldn't stand to be apart ever again. So a few months into the date that never ended we decided to get married with our little family of dogs by our sides. We are so excited to have a public ceremony to share our love and celebrate in the same place we were legally married with all of our favorite people!
