Our Story

We met during our college years when our two different friend groups started mingling. We were both in different relationships so we were friendly but weren't too close. Fast forward to summer 2011 where we both found ourselves single and through mutual friends we started hanging out more and more and found we both liked to have a good time, liked the same music and really enjoyed each other's company. A few weeks later Andrew needed a ride to Phish's Superball festival in Watkin Glen, NY and Allie just so happened to have a car. The next thing you know us and two friends were crammed into Allie's little Honda Accord with all our camping gear to see Phish for three nights over the 4th of July. It was there that Andrew swept Allie off her feet and we had the most magical time together. We were unofficial until January 2012 when we took the train down to Chicago to see STS9 for two nights and realized that weekend we were meant for each other. We were each other's soulmate. After we flew to Seattle to see Phish at The Gorge in July 2016, it sparked an immediate interest to move to the Pacific Northwest. We later came back to the PNW to visit friends, starting in Portland and road tripped to the Olympic Peninsula and ended the adventure with a ferry ride from Bremerton to Seattle and our minds were made up. We were moving to Seattle.  Moving across-country in September 2018, away from our friends and family and everything we knew was not easy. Slowly but surely we started to blossom out here. We both landed good jobs, ran an Airbnb, made some really great friends, hosted visitors from back home, converted our SUV into an overlanding camper vehicle, went on many hikes and camping trips, bought a house in Burien and got a fur-baby, Appa, the best pup ever.

The Proposal

In February 2022 we went on vacation to Key West with our families. The parents all knew this was coming so they were super excited, but they didn't know 'when'. On night two, Allie's dad told Andrew he had the ring in his pocket 'just in case'. While getting out of the cab at Mallory Square, a band at a nearby bar was covering They Love Each Other by The Grateful Dead. Andrew knew that was his sign. As we were watching the sun go down Allie's dad announced "the sun will be down in 2 minutes!" (nudge, nudge). Andrew poked Terry once and with the quick draw the ring was in Andrew's hand. It took a few wobbly knee bends before Andrew got down on his knee and the rest is history. ~~~ We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in the mountains!
