Justin and Allie met in college through one of their best friends, Matt, officiant/co-best man! They knew eachother through Greek life at UW-Whitewater, but Matt brought them closer. They hung out for a summer then exclusively started dating the next fall. Justin asking Allie to be his girlfriend is a very memorable, comical, and painful memory. Allie was on a field trip with her biology class. The class was hiking up a hill, and someone stepped on a wasps nest. Allie felt pain on her body, then realized she had numerous wasps on her! She got stung over 20 times ( no exaggeration, she went to urgent care the next day)! She immediately called Justin who calmed her down and got her dinner. Once Allie calmed down, Justin asked her to be his girlfriend. There has been a lot of amazing memories between the two and PTSD with wasps since then! Allie and Justin spent a year living in two different states after they were done living in Whitewater, Wi. Allie lived in Milwaukee and Justin lived in Rockford. Allie moved to Rockford after a year of being over an hour apart from eachother. They lived in their first apartment for 2 years and made a lot of memories. They decided to upgrade to a bigger apartment to fit their Bengal cat, Bucky and Siberian Husky, Kona. One of the couple’s favorite memories occured in that apartment on New Years Eve...
Justin made Allie’s proposal absolutely perfect for her, and even involved some of her closest friends. The two threw a New Years party with their friends. It was suggested that all of the girls take a group photo, so they sat on the floor and posed. Then it was suggested to have the guys walk behind the girls to be in on the photo too. Everyone but Allie knew that all of the boys were carrying balloons that spelled, “marry me?” The group had Allie go look at the photo so she could read, “marry me?” on the photo. Unfortunately Allie did what most females usually do, and only looked at herself in the picture and agreed it looked great. When she turned around, Justin was on one knee with a beautiful ring. All Allie could respond with was, “Oh shit!” Don’t worry, she eventually said “yes!”
