We recommend making a round trip reservation in advance for all options listed below From Cape Cod: Both Steamship Authority and Hy-line Cruises run fast ferries (1 hr) to Nantucket from Hyannis, MA numerous times throughout the day. The Steamship Authority also operates a traditional slow ferry (passenger + car, 2 hr 15 min). Hyannis is a 1.5 hr drive from Boston and 4.5 hr drive from NYC. https://hylinecruises.com https://www.steamshipauthority.com From New Bedford: The Seastreak Ferry runs between New Bedford and Nantucket. While they do not offer as many daily trips as Hyline and Steamship, it is a great way to avoid Cape Cod traffic . BY PLANE

Nantucket's Airport, ACK, services both larger domestic airlines and smaller regional carriers. Jet Blue, United, American Airlines and Delta all offer direct flights to the island, primarily through Boston (BOS), NYC (JFK & LGA), Newark (EWR), Westchester (HPN) and DC (DCA). ON ISLAND TRANSPORTATION

There are plenty of Ubers and taxis available. Therefore, bringing your car with you is not necessary.
