Flo's Clam Shack
Our #1 must! Located across from 'First Beach' & offering some of New England's best fried seafood (and burgers), this is our favorite post-beach stop for a bite to eat. PRO-TIP: grab a seat on the second level balcony for a sunny ocean view!
Midtown Oyster Bar
The bride's favorite Newport restaurant (aside from Flo's that is)! This restaurant has multiple dining rooms and bars, including outdoor dining on the third level roof deck.
The Landing Restaurant
Take a waterfront seat at the outside bar & grab a Bud Lite (or a Mud Slide!) to relive the summer day in June 2017 when Allie, after 3 months of Ben's persistence, realized she was falling in love with him after all ;-)
Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant
Just a 5 minute walk off of Thames Street, we recommend Brick Alley Pub for a more low key atmosphere and a quick break from the main crowds. Head to the back bar on the first level for a vodka tonic that tastes like gasoline & to see the site where Allie asked Ben to be "official" (or visa versa). It is still up for debate... predominantly due to said vodkas.
Second Beach
Five minutes further down the road than 'First Beach' but the notably nicer of the two for a great beach day!
Cliff Walk
A leisurely walk along the coast line with incredible views of Newport's famed mansions! The trail starts just beyond First Beach for a great daytime activity.
SHOPPING
Stroll down bustling Thames Street and its associated Wharfs for some of New England's best shopping.
