Ross & I went to dinner one time before our "official" first date - it was here. It's still one of our favorite spots for delicious (& cheap!) comfort food.
Ross & I went here the night he asked me to be his girlfriend... A walk through the Venice Canals and along the beach makes this a perfect dinner for a romantic date. But also, it's delicious!
We love the al pastor tacos here, and I think they taste better late at night. This is an LA classic.
This is where I (Allie) had my first job after college! The cold brew is delicious, the drip coffee is good, and the people are lovely. There's other locations, but this whole area has a bunch of fun shops, and if you come at lunch time, Loqui is next door - they have a delicious mushroom taco.
Santa Clarita's own craft coffeeshop. This is one of few little coffee shops in town... it's close to the hotels where guests will be staying, and it's only 15 minutes from the house. This is a good place to get things done if you're not local – if you are local, you'll inevitably see a familiar face!
This hidden Santa Clarita gem is where you must go to breakfast Saturday morning (if you're staying close by!).
I used to go here with friends in high school all the time. Their milkshakes are amazing, and they have a really good burger and fries. Not far from Honu, this place is a bit of of an SCV staple.
This is Santa Clarita's favorite breakfast spot. My favorites are the Nutella French toast and the pesto scramble, and I'd definitely recommend asking for the half-portion. This place would be perfect for Sunday morning breakfast!
Try a rattlesnake sausage here, or just get a chicken apple sausage. There's something for everyone, even the Vegans, and it's perfectly situated the Arts District area so you can walk around the trendy shops.
Every so often, a fancy dinner is just right! Ross & I went here for New Years Eve. This place is lovely, trendy Italian food... they put arugula on everything & the garlic knot is incredible.
We love bringing out of town guests here! There's always something new to try, and there's a good mix of classics & trendy food stands.
The pizza here is ridiculous. The wait can be a little ridiculous, too, but if you're looking for a trip to the East Side, this is a good reason! I don't remember when we went here; I just remember being happy about it...
