When should I RSVP by?

Kindly RSVP by August 8th, 2025.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Garden Formal Attire: knee-length to floor-length dresses, formal jumpsuits, suits, and jackets with dress pants are welcomed. Light, comfortable fabrics, fun colors, and florals are encouraged! Please wear comfortable shoes to accommodate grass, gravel, and paved surfaces as our venue includes both outdoor and indoor spaces. We kindly request no white or ivory attire for ladies.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 5:00pm. Please plan to arrive 15-30 minutes early (between 4:30pm and 4:45pm) to leave your car with our complimentary valet service.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! The Rice University Courtyard Houston hotel will provide complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the wedding venue for hotel guests. Shuttles will depart from the hotel at 4:15pm and 4:30pm. Shuttles will depart from the wedding venue to return to the hotel at 10:00pm and 10:30pm.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, complimentary valet parking is available at our venue beginning at 4:30pm for the ceremony and reception. We also encourage carpooling, rideshare, or use of our complimentary shuttle service provided for guests of the Rice University Courtyard Houston hotel.

Will the wedding be outdoors or indoors?

Answer

Our venue includes both outdoor and indoor spaces and our ceremony will be held outdoors in the garden, weather permitting. Indoor, air-conditioned spaces including restrooms will be accessible throughout the wedding ceremony and reception. Please wear comfortable shoes to accommodate grass, gravel, and paved surfaces. We can't control the weather, but we can help you know what to expect! For our wedding date, the average high is 89ºF and average low is 72ºF. Shade, fans, and other cooling comforts will also be available!

Is the wedding venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! The venue does include some grass and gravel spaces that may be difficult for wheelchair access, but all events and amenities including the ceremony space, restrooms, bar and coffee cart for cocktail hour, dinner service and seating, and dance floor will be wheelchair accessible on paved surfaces.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP. Our caterer will have plenty of options available for various dietary restrictions, but please reach out to us if you would like a separate meal set aside due to allergies as we can also accommodate this request.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! All invited children will be included by name on your invitation, and please let us know if you have any questions about accessibility of our venue or requests we can accommodate to give you and your kids a great experience. High chairs will be available by request to our wedding coordinator or the venue events manager.

Where can I view details about the wedding or edit my RSVP?

Answer

Details about the wedding, including exact timing and location of wedding events, are visible in the RSVP section of our website when you enter your first and last name. You can also edit your RSVP in this section to add questions or allergy requests.
