Directions From Reno Hwy 395 south toward Minden/Gardnerville. Turn Right onto Hwy 88 West. Follow Hwy 88 for about 45-60 miles (this is an estimate). When you see the Mormon Emigrant Trail Sign, remain on Hwy 88 & clock 1-½ miles. Turn left onto paved driveway, (43300 Hwy 88). 2 large bears will greet you. Follow road for 2 miles. At the lake turn right and go up over Pucker Butt Hill. It is steep but manageable. At the top it takes a sharp right. Follow the dirt road around to the parking sign.
