A cozy Germantown favorite and Alli & Jackson’s go-to coffee spot when in town, JoJo’s Espresso is known for its specialty drinks and inviting atmosphere.

The Peabody Memphis

A must-visit downtown, the iconic The Peabody Memphis is the perfect place to grab a drink at the Lobby Bar, watch the famous ducks march down the red carpet from their rooftop penthouse to the lobby fountain, and even enjoy a signature cocktail topped with a little duck.

Sun Studio

706 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103

Sun Studio is the iconic birthplace of rock ’n’ roll where legends like Elvis recorded; and this one is Jackson’s pick, because he insisted Alli cannot be the only one making all the decisions for the wedding itinerary.

Huey's Germantown

7677 Farmington Boulevard, Germantown, TN 38138

Huey’s is a Memphis staple known for its legendary burgers, laid-back vibe, and walls covered in customer graffiti and it was the very first place Alli ever took Jackson when they were in Memphis. With multiple locations across the Memphis area including Midtown, Downtown, Germantown, Cordova, Collierville, Poplar, Southaven, Olive Branch, Millington, and Southwind, it’s a go-to spot for a casual meal any time we’re in town. In our opinion, it has some of the best burgers in Memphis and is a must-stop every visit.

Java Cafe

3133 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Germantown, TN 38138

A hidden Germantown gem, Java Cafe is Alli’s favorite locally owned breakfast spot for a classic morning plate of eggs, bacon, and French toast, and also a go-to for quick, fresh sandwiches at lunch. With limited morning hours, it’s a must-visit when you can catch it.

Collierville Commissary

3573 South Houston Levee Road, Collierville, TN 38017

Alli strongly believes Memphis BBQ is far superior to Texas BBQ (Jackson respectfully disagrees, but we’ll let the people decide). So while you’re in town you have to try a few local favorites like The Commissary, The Rendezvous, Central BBQ, Corky’s, and One and Only and settle the debate yourself.

Graceland

Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38116

No trip to Memphis is complete without a visit to Graceland, the iconic home of Elvis Presley, where you can tour his estate, explore music history, and experience one of the city’s most legendary landmarks.

The Shops of Saddle Creek is the go-to Germantown spot for easy shopping, good walking around, and grabbing a bite to eat.

Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid

1 Bass Pro Drive, Memphis, TN 38105

One of the most unique spots you’ll ever see, the Bass Pro Pyramid is basically a giant glass pyramid turned into an indoor wilderness (yes, really) complete with shopping, an indoor swamp, and even the Big Cypress Lodge if you want a cozy cabin-style stay inside the pyramid itself, plus a trip up to the observation deck for incredible views of the Memphis skyline and the Mississippi River.

Shelby Farms Park

Paula & Raiford’s Disco is a legendary Memphis nightlife experience where it’s all cash-only, you show up ready for a full bottle of champagne or the biggest beer you can hold, and nothing else is really required-just know Paula runs the rules: no drinks on the dance floor, and you’ve probably seen it all over your social media already.
