Gary and I knew very quickly how we were meant to be together. Both of us felt something very different in our relationship that we had never felt with someone else before. We had a connection where we just "knew" each other. Since the day we met, we have been supporting each other through all of life challenges. We have had challenges to face, and we did it together. Life just became easier with him in it. We started to realize that there was no way, we could spend the rest of our lives NOT together. That is when we decided we wanted to take the next step. Gary started hunting for the "perfect ring" He wanted to make sure it was the most amazing ring for me. I told him that I would be perfectly happy with a plastic ring, but he insisted on finding the perfect one. And he most certainly did! He also planned the perfect proposal! We had planned a trip to Disney. It was a much-needed vacation for us after the last year of quarantine. We planned our 1st day to be at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge! Gary had managed to score me a pass to build my very own lightsaber first thing in the morning! Unfortunately only one person could go with me, so Gary stayed behind with Blake, and Haylee came along with me. Unbeknownst to me, as I was forging my lightsaber and choosing my Kiber Crystal, Gary was outside scheming with the Managers at Galaxy's Edge to ensure we would have photographers ready and on Standby for our big moment! After I completed the saber, he took us over to Kilo Rens ship where he walked up front, and beckoned me over. As I walked over, he grabbed my hands and looked into my eyes and said, " Alli, I love you and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you Marry me?" My heart instantly started racing, and my hands began shaking as I said "Of course! Yes!" The rest of the weekend was truly magical. It was the best Disney Trip we had ever been on. And now, we are excited to plan the celebration of the beginning of the rest of our lives together!
