We’re getting married!

We were both a month into our freshman year at Calvin College. At the time, everyone was still scrambling to find their friend groups and branching out to new people. Because of this, both of our friend groups had decided to go to the beach together, despite only having a few mutual friends. Justin ended up having to squeeze into the car with me and my friends. Once we were at the beach, we talked basically the whole time. Our conversation continued over Snapchat the next day. Since then, we haven't gone a day without talking to each other! Our first date was at Millenium Park in Grand Rapids. I didn't know at the time that I was talking to my future husband; I just knew I was talking to a funny, sweet, cute boy. About three years later, he proposed to me at the Tridge in Midland (where I'm from), which is one of my favorite places and also the very first place I introduced him to during his first trip to Midland. And here we are now, thanks to God creating our love story!
