FAQs

The Wedding Website of Malachai Frisby and Alley Lewis
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is “dressy casual.” Examples include a nice dress or jumpsuit, a dress shirt with slacks, etc. The wedding party will be in more fantasy-inspired outfits, so a fancy renfaire outfit would also be welcome! Please no jeans or white. The venue is an outdoor park, so please be mindful of what shoes you wear. Sneakers are ok!

Question

Will the ceremony be seated?

Answer

Due to park rules about large amounts of folding chairs, the ceremony will be standing. The ceremony will last approximately 15 minutes. There will be seating in the pavilion before the ceremony and immediately after during the reception. If you are unable to stand for the ceremony, please indicate this in your RSVP and/or reach out to the wedding party directly so we can accommodate you.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to guest list restrictions, plus-ones will be unable to attend unless previously discussed with the wedding party.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The meal will be catered by the Pappy’s Smokehouse food truck. The menu includes chicken tenders, brisket, and ribs as the main. Sides include mashed potatoes, baked beans, and mixed green salad. If you have dietary restrictions, reach out to the wedding party so we can assist you.

Question

Can I bring alcohol and/or marijuana?

Answer

To respect the sobriety of the wedding party, please do not bring alcohol, marijuana, or other intoxicants to the ceremony or reception. Also, we request that those in attendance arrive sober. The reception will be dry, with refreshments including artisanal sodas instead of alcohol.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking will be on the street of Tower Grove Park. We recommend arriving early to find good parking close to the ceremony and reception sites.

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

A photographer will be taking professional photos to be shared with everyone. We kindly request that the ceremony and the beginning of the reception remain "unplugged" so everyone can be present in the moment of the ceremony. Please feel free to take photos once the dancing starts!
