How We Met

First comes Bumble, then comes marriage...

Chris had just moved back home to Carmel after finishing his fun career at Proskauer Rose. He was unsure about his future, but he knew one thing for certain - he needed a change of pace. Meanwhile, Alley, a graduate student, was searching for something more in her life. Little did they know, destiny had plans to intertwine their paths. They both found solace in a quiet corner of the internet - an online community for bee lovers. Chris enjoyed burying himself in fictional bee adventure books, while Alley found joy in analyzing and dissecting the intricate insects. It wasn't long before they stumbled upon each other's profiles. A virtual connection sparked between them as they bonded over their mutual love for the tiny winged creatures. Over time, conversations flowed naturally, transitioning from bees to personal anecdotes. They shared stories of their triumphs and failures, their dreams and fears. Slowly but surely, they built a foundation of trust and understanding. Despite the distance and anonymity, they found comfort and solace in each other's presence. One fateful day, they decided it was time to meet face-to-face. Alley nervously traveled to Chris’ town, anticipation bubbling in her chest. She arrived 30 minutes early to the restaurant, refusing to enter until he messaged from inside, for fear of being stood up. As they locked eyes for the first time, their worlds collided. The chemistry between them was undeniable, their connection palpable. Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Their love blossomed like a flower in the spring. Chris admired Alley's dedication to her studies, her tenacity in chasing her dreams. Alley loved Chris's unwavering support and his ability to make her laugh even during the toughest times. After months of long-distance love, Chris made the bold move of leaving Putnam County to visit Alley in the oasis that is Poughkeepsie. The prospect of a life together filled their hearts with excitement and trepidation. They packed up their belongings, bid farewell to the familiar, and embarked on a new adventure together - Mahopac, a place that would forever hold their love story. As they settled into their new home, they decided it was time to add a new member to their family. A large black Newfoundland puppy named Bear became their loyal companion, completing their little family. Years rolled by, filled with laughter, tears, milestones, and shared dreams. Chris and Alley created a life grounded in love, respect, and unwavering support for one another. Their love story became a symbol of hope and possibility - a reminder that true love could conquer the boundaries of distance and uncertainty. And so, in the cozy town of Mahopac, Chris and Alley lived happily ever after, wrapped in the warmth of their love and the joy of their Newfie Bear, creating a love story that would be whispered for generations to come.
