Our Story

Lexie & Riley met while working together in the summer of 2014. While they worked together for some time, their friendship began when Lexie tried convincing Riley to adopt one of the kittens she had rescued and Riley kept refusing because he had a puppy, Eco, who would "torment" the kitten. Not to mention, Riley didn't care for cats. From there, they both looked forward to conversations with each other about their pets and their future aspirations. Fast forward, Lexie & Riley had their first date on St. Patrick’s Day. They spent hours at On The Boarder talking and drinking strawberry margaritas. A few months after their first date, Lexie moved into Riley’s house with her 2 cats, Tazz and Cruz and Riley quickly became the "cat dad". Now you're probably wondering if Echo tormented the cats, right? Turns out, Echo and Cruz became best friends and even squirrel watch together! In fact, it went so well that they decided to add another puppy to the mix, Odin. At the end of 2019, they were engaged and looking for their next adventure together. They took a trip to Fort Myers, Florida and fell in love with the city. They decided that once Riley’s house sold, they would pack up their belongings and 4 legged children to make the move to Florida! Their original wedding date was July 17,2020, but COVID-19 had other plans so they rescheduled their wedding for July 17, 2021. Spur of the moment, they decided to still say "I Do" on their original date with just a few people as witnesses. While they were extremely saddened that not everyone could make it, they couldn't wait to start their lives together as One. They will hold a vow renewal ceremony and reception next year and cannot wait to celebrate with you!
