What we both thought would be a night out listening to a live band, ended up being the 1st night of forever. It really wasn't romantic at all but we just clicked. Now here we are preparing to tie the knot.
Within a month of meeting and spending everyday together, we met each other's kids. Then in October 2018 we moved in together. Combined we had 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. Then in 2019 along came our tie breaker. She's stubborn and fierce just like her dad. Our relationship seemed to have moved so quickly but it's true what they say "when you know, you know". We knew early on we were in this for the long term and too old for games.
I took the kids to have pictures with Santa and do some Christmas shopping that morning. When I came home and was just lounging in my recliner. He got up and came over and SAT on me. He then said "I'm tired of calling you my girlfriend. Let's get married." Not romantic or fancy just straight to the point, just like him. Unfortunately the very next day I was involved in a wreck. No serious injuries but totaled the car. I postpone planning but he insisted that I keep planning and it will all work out. Which he was right.
