Patrick was my high school secret crush but I was only able to steal a single kiss on Prom night! We traveled in different circles and didn't keep in touch after graduation. Five years later, my sister and I went out to watch a KU game. The game was delayed several times so our original plans were abandoned and we set out for a neighborhood bar. Serendipity! In walked Patrick after an awards ceremony and we immediately recognized each other. We hugged and exchanged numbers and a few nights he called and our fate was sealed!

Five years after we began dating, Patrick whisked me off to Wolf Creek Ski Area in Colorado to learn to ski where he learned as a kid. Little did I know, I would need to be able to ski well enough to take the Bonanza chairlift up to the Continental Divide. There were so many people at the top, Patrick suggested a short ski down to a secluded nook. I got there first and looked back to find him on one knee in the snow! I said "YES!" before he was able to finish his proposal! Down the mountain, newly engaged, we skied and made a toast to forever with his grandparents in South Fork who had champagne waiting for us! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our life with you! See you in Tulum!
