We are moving forward with our June 19th wedding; but with a limited guest list due to continued capacity restrictions at our indoor venue. We wish we could invite everyone we originally intended but have had to downsize. We are so grateful for the wonderful people in our lives and look forward to celebrating with all of you whether in person or from afar. We will be following all COVID safety protocols as recommended by both the state of Massachusetts and our wedding venue.
Lexi and Allen met in the summer of 2016 thanks to mutual friend and bridesmaid, Azah. Azah invited Lexi to a Drake concert at TD Garden, Allen’s place of work, and Allen decided to tag along. The three attended another concert together that September and soon after, Lexi and Allen started “talking”. They would not have their first “official” date until later that fall.
Allen invited Lexi to a Celtics game at the garden, just the two of them. Lexi, though minimally interested in basketball, said yes to the invite and enjoyed the entertainment and the company. She was impressed by Allen’s “work perks”, complete with awesome seats and bottomless chicken fingers and fries. They saw each other again that same week.
On the third day of their vacation to San Francisco, Allen popped the question at the perfect lookout view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Lexi was slightly suspicious of Allen for wearing a hoodie in the sunny and 75° weather, but was too happy taking in the sites to think much of it. Little did she know he was carrying a ring box. They enjoyed a delicious brunch and embarked on a long walk along the San Fran beaches to ultimately cross the bridge. Allen appeared nervous but Lexi figured it was because he has a fear of heights and they were headed towards the GGB. In her trip planning, Lexi had discovered a gorgeous viewpoint of the bridge; so they put in the Google Maps coordinates and headed that way. Once Lexi was done taking a “selfie”, Allen waited for the crowd to clear, got down on one knee, revealed the most beautiful ring, and asked Lexi to marry him. She said... yes!
