Our story began in 2015 during a summer internship at GE Capital HQ in Norwalk, Connecticut. We met in the hallway of our corporate-provided apartment building on the first day of work, and sparks flew instantly (well, at least for Daniel). After an amazing summer in the northeast, Allena returned to the Lone Star State where she was studying finance at the University of Texas, and Daniel headed to Europe for a semester in Copenhagen before returning to Boston College. Despite the ~2,000 miles between Chestnut Hill and Austin (and several questionable European haircuts) we defied the odds and let love conquer the distance. At first, long-distance was the norm, with Austin, Copenhagen, Boston, and New York each playing a role. But soon enough, we were at-last together in New York – where we embraced the sleep-deprived madness of investment banking. After several years together in the city, the pandemic hit, and we started to think beyond the confines of our one-bedroom apartment in Murray Hill. This prompted us to embark on the next chapter of our lives – a chapter filled with remote work and travel. In 2021, Daniel landed a new job in Austin, so we packed our things and headed to Allena's home state of Texas. The year 2022 brought with it a series of milestones for us. First, we took the plunge and committed to each other by purchasing our very first home together. But the biggest milestone came on a crisp autumn day in November (11/11/22, to be exact). Atop the iconic Lamar pedestrian bridge, Allena's heartfelt "yes" to Daniel's not-so-smooth proposal sealed our love forever. Now, as we prepare to embark on the greatest adventure of all – marriage – we would like to humbly extend the invitation for you to join us on the sunny shores of Mexico for a celebration that is surely to-be-remembered. Get ready, because this journey is just getting started!
