FAQs

Question

How did you two meet?

Answer

Growing up, both our families went to Epiphany Catholic Church, so we saw a lot of each other between Mass, the Homeschool group, and Schoenstatt (which is a Marian Movement within the Church). From a young age, we kicked it off by playing house. Grew apart in our early teen years until about sophomore year, when Allen finally got up the courage to talk to Sarah. We had the opportunity to grow and learn more about our Faith and each other through a youth conference in Kansas that year. Allen could not go unless Theresa, his sister, went with him. Theresa, knowing Allen liked Sarah, was more than happy to volunteer as a chaperone (big shout-out to Theresa). After that trip, our relationship skyrocketed to where that spring we started dating (Spring of 2022), and on November 2nd, 2024, Allen got down on one knee.

Question

Are kids allowed at the Mass and/or Reception?

Answer

YES! We want parents to bring their kids and celebrate our wedding as a family (unless you want a date night)!

Question

Sarah, who are you?

Answer

I grew up in Ramsey, MN, as the sixth eldest of eight. (Six girls and two boys). Growing up Catholic was a blessing. My parents, siblings, and I would go to Mass each Sunday. Where I helped my Aunt Rhonda in the kitchen after Mass with hospitality, where I earned the name "Donut Princess." I attended many different schools through my childhood, and during middle/High School, I found myself counting down the days to the next E3/youth Group, where I had a huge crush on a really cute guy. (You guessed it - Allen). Today I enjoy riding and competing horses, hanging out with family and friends, playing/watching sports, and going to Allen and I's weekly Adoration hour.

Question

Allen, who are you?

Answer

I was raised in Coon Rapids, MN. I am the second youngest of 10 children -7 girls and 3 boys, in that order. I grew up Catholic, attending Mass at Epiphany Catholic Church every Sunday with my family. Occasionally, my grandmother would take my siblings and I to daily mass. I got into the family sport of basketball at age 8 and began serving at Mass at the age 10, because my older brother swore it was super fun. I also attended youth group starting in middle school. I rarely ever missed it, because there was this cute girl that I kinda had a crush on (Sarah). I was homeschooled through 10th grade, and then attended Anoka Technical College for two years, where I graduated with my diploma in Architectural Technology in 2023.
