We first met in the summer of 2015, two sophomores in high school who happened to be seated next to each other in summer school. What started as simple conversations between classmates quickly turned into a friendship neither of us expected. Before long, we were spending time together outside of class, meeting each other’s friends, and building a friendship that felt easy and natural. After high school, life took us in different directions and we lost touch. But in 2019, Allen reached out to Leann—and that simple message became the beginning of everything. As we reconnected, we discovered that we weren’t just the same teenagers who once shared a classroom; we had grown into adults with dreams, values, and aspirations. It didn’t take long to realize that our friendship had quietly grown into something much deeper. As our relationship evolved, we met each other’s families, blending our worlds together. Allen asked Leann’s parents for permission to court her—scary, but their blessing meant everything. On April 4, 2019, we officially began our relationship. From that day forward, we became each other’s greatest supporters—cheering one another on through graduations, first jobs, birthdays, milestones, and even the smallest victories. Whatever life brought, we faced it side by side. Six years later, Allen once again asked Leann’s parents for permission—but this time, for her hand in marriage. On November 16, 2025, in the beautiful Rikugien Gardens in Tokyo, Japan, Allen asked Leann to spend forever with him. She said yes, DUH! And now, here we are... grateful for the journey that brought us together, and even more excited for the one ahead. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of our love story with all of you!
