Things To Do

We’re so excited to celebrate in one of New York’s most beautiful regions—the Finger Lakes! Whether you're making a weekend out of it or just looking for something fun between wedding events, there’s no shortage of charming towns, scenic views, and local gems to explore.

Leaf Peeping and Scenic Drives

October is the peak of fall foliage season in the Finger Lakes region. Enjoy stunning drives through the surrounding countryside, including: Canandaigua Lake Scenic Drive: Take a drive along the eastern shore of Canandaigua Lake to see beautiful autumn colors and charming lakeside villages. Finger Lakes National Forest: This area offers picturesque hiking trails and stunning views, especially during the fall.

Hiking and Outdoor Exploration

Bristol Mountain Hiking Trails: If you’re up for a more challenging hike, the area around Bristol Mountain offers several hiking trails that lead to spectacular views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Highland Park (in nearby Canandaigua): A lovely park with hiking trails and beautiful autumn scenery. Ontario County Park: Located near Canandaigua Lake, this park offers trails with lovely lake views and excellent fall color.

Visit Local Wineries and Breweries

Finger Lakes Wine Trail: Explore wineries along the nearby Canandaigua Lake or venture a little farther to the Keuka or Seneca Lake wine trails. Genesee Brewing Company (Rochester): If you're willing to drive a bit farther (about 40 minutes), you can visit one of New York State’s oldest breweries. Black Button Distilling (Rochester): For something unique, try local spirits at this craft distillery, located about 40 minutes from Bristol Mountain.

Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures

If you're looking for a more active experience, you can visit Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures, an exciting treetop obstacle course and zip-line adventure park located at the base of Bristol Mountain. It's open in October, and the fall views from the treetops are spectacular.
