Welcome to Our Love Story

We met dancing. As most of you know Shane & I love to two step. On an evening Shane wasn't even suppose to go to Denim & Diamond, he and his friend Kyle decided to go shoot some pool. As Kyle was dancing I noticed a tall, handsome man standing by the dancefloor holding two beers, so I decided to walk up to him and ask him to dance. After he said yes, he had to go find Kyle and told me he would find me later. Thinking I'd never see him again, he found me. We ended up in the corner of the bar talking about everything. That was the moment he started to dance into my heart.

Shane told me he wanted to wake up early to see the sunrise on the Grand Teton mountains and take family pictures. (Some may not know this, but sunrises are Shane's favorite so this was not out of the norm he wanted to do this). We woke up at 3:30 in the morning to drive an hour an half to see these mountains glow pink right when the sunrises. It was literally 30 degrees outside. I was freezing and felt out of my mind for my outfit choice that day but... if anyone knows me, I will do anything for a great photo! 😂 Well, we get there about 20 minutes early and I see a swarm of people walking down the trail. I tell Shane I really want to get a great spot and I'll just suffer lol... he kept delaying it and saying we have time it's fine, while he kept having to "use the restroom". I was getting upset cause I didn't want a bunch of people in our picture... haha I guess during this time he was trying to get ahold of Elayna to make sure all was going to plan, but they both had no service. Just when he thought there was no hope, he saw moose and made us go chase after them! SO COOL! So we hopped in the truck and saw them walk right in front of us. The funny thing with all this was Elayna was stuck on the other side of the moose! After our moose adventure, we parked the truck again and started to walk towards the trail to see this beautiful sunrise. As we're walking Shaney and him were walking ahead of me, little did I know what was about to happen. After what felt like the furtherest walk and being freezing, Shane finally says oh this is the spot go ahead and set up your tripod. So I go to set it up and this bundled up girl (I was so jealous at how warm she looked 😂) taking photos offered to take ours... I denied this offer at first! She insisted so I finally said ok! Shane gives me a kiss for a "pose", pulls away, I get confused, then he gets down on one knee, and he asks me to marry him. My tears were uncontrollable because of the pure happiness, excitement, and joy I felt. 🤍 This moment was perfect and something I don’t feel could have been ever better! The topper to it all was Shaney running and jumping into my arms giving me a humongous hug. I am so blessed to call these boys mine for forever. 💍♾🤍
