We're Getting Married!

Michelle, a soon-to-be college graduate, decided to leave her home in Attleboro, MA, and move to warm and sunny southwest Florida in the Fall of 2020. Soon after arrival, she began working as a COVID tester, and that is where she met and became close friends with some of John's childhood friends. Meanwhile, John, who also lived in Massachusetts, was thinking about going back to Florida to continue his studies. After much contemplation and deliberation, he finally pulled the trigger and made his big move back to Florida in the summer of 2021. Once there, the same childhood friends that Michelle had been working with opened the doors to their home and allowed John to live with them, and even helped him find employment at the same company they worked at... where Michelle also worked. John still remembers the first time he saw her-- Sunday, August 22nd, his first day of work. He was there extra early and remembers seeing all his coworkers arriving. But when that silver Toyota Camry rolled in, and out came the most beautiful girl he'd ever laid eyes on... wow. He never believed in Cupid, but boy did he experience that arrow hit him right in the heart. It was like his move to Florida suddenly made a lot more sense. Fast forward a couple of months, Michelle and John are now good friends. What Michelle didn't know was that John was discreetly trying to win her heart over. He was afraid though because Michelle was always adamant about how this wasn't something she was actively looking for or wanted, at least at the moment, and would rather enjoy her independence, and not have to worry about another person being in her life that intimately. One day, John received a text from Michelle and it read, "Do you want to come meet a puppy with me?" And this is where their story took a turn towards the beginning of forever. Michelle adopted her puppy, Remy, and John became Michelle’s go-to person when it came to her puppy. He now had an excuse to go see Michelle at her house. He was constantly over and making obvious moves towards Michelle that showed her that he wanted their relationship to grow into something more than just friends. He began to notice that his moves weren’t in vain as she began to like having him over. Inviting him over for dinner after work, and accepting his invites to run simple errands with him. He has only Remy to thank for that. On April 3rd, 2022, he finally asked Michelle if she would be his girlfriend. Michelle immediately said yes. But… she would soon go back home to Massachusetts to start nursing school, leaving John behind, alone, sad, and depressed. But God works in mysterious ways, and John eventually found his way back home to Massachusetts as well. As it turned out, his parents had bought a home in Attleboro— where Michelle lived— a town he had never heard of until he met Michelle. Together again alas. On August 26th, 2023, John got down on one knee and popped the question. Michelle replied once again with a resounding “YES!” And so May 24, 2024, will mark the day that their love will forever be cemented in their hearts. Never to be apart again.
