August 28th, 2012: Caroline and Dan arrived at Dartmouth for section F of freshman trips, they don't meet. January 25th, 2013, a post to Caroline's instagram read "Yup.... this happened". It featured Dan and other swimmers, clad only in speedos, dancing to Rick Astley. It got 15 likes. June 19th, 2014, the start of sophomore summer, Caroline and Dan begin Digital Electronics together. That summer they each attend SD formal, they frequent SigEp, Caroline cheers for two Aquafellas performances. They don't meet. November 3rd, 2015, SigEp reserved Berry 178K. 3 years of close proximity and near misses culminates in a conversation on automata theory - the topic of Caroline's midterm. June 12, 2016 the two graduate Dartmouth and head home for the summer. Dan goes to California, and Caroline to Boston. They see each other over 12 trips for the next year. August 8th, 2017, Dan flys to Boston on a one-way ticket. They live a 10 minute walk from each other in Cambridge for the next year. September 1st, 2018, 9:12am, they pick up the keys for their 527sqft apartment in Beacon Hill, where 133 days later they bring home the first new member of their family, Kara. October 1st, 2021, 9:25am, post a Taco Deli breakfast, Dan drags Caroline on a walk into the Austin Greenbelt where he asks her to marry him. Caroline's first words were "No, is this real?", but eventually agrees to the proposition.
