How we started

May 5, 2018

Hannah traveled up to New Westminster. BC with her friends, Danielle, Kevin, and Leigh for a wrestling show and to shop... because of the automatic 25% discount with the conversation rate... Allan was chauffeuring around several people to and from the venue and also was at the lovely Sapperton's Pensioners Hall. They knew of each other but had never been introduced so at a party that night after the show, they got to talking and hit it off! Allan even offered to take Hannah and her crew out to brunch the next morning!

Our First Date

June 19, 2018

After several weeks of chatting almost exclusively on Facebook Messenger and at wrestling shows, Allan asked Hannah to go to an Everett AquaSox game. They enjoyed the cheap seats, the beer, and a veggie dog or two and went their separate ways... but not before agreeing to make additional plans later.

Our Engagement

August 3, 2019

The alarm went off at 6 am, and Allan got up to let Griffey out. He came back in hoping that Hannah was awake, but she was still dead asleep and never heard the alarm. Allan tried to gently coax Hannah out of bed with much-groaned protesting. Hannah did eventually get up grumpily and they were out the door by 7 am on their way to Teapot Hill for an early morning hike.... not before stopping to get a Double-Double from Tim Hortons. They get to the trailhead and Hannah was under the rouse that it would be packed. There were three cars in the parking lot... Hannah continued to complain the entire hike to the actual trailhead and Allan patiently didn't snap at her for being a brat. They finally get to the Teapot Hill trailhead, where Allan convinced Hannah to count the number of teapots until they got to the top. Obviously, Hannah, being overly competitive at times, agreed to such challenge and started to get into a better mood... though not great because of waking up that early. They finally counted 40 teapots when they reached the top of the hill and overlooked the viewpoint. Allan pointed at one and told Hannah "That one is for you." Hannah turned to look at the teal adorable teapot and turned back to look at Allan who was getting on to one knee. She obviously said "YES!" and the rest is history!
