FAQs

Question

How do I get to the Welcome Party?

Answer

Bus transportation is available from Halifax to Seabright and back, with a number of times available throughout the day. Space is limited—reserve your spot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0445AAAA23AAF8C43-64441187-1230pm#/ Our celebration is conveniently located on the way to Peggy’s Cove - if you have access to a car (or plan to rent one), we recommend driving and making a scenic stop there along the way!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children are welcome if they are included on your RSVP. Please note that, due to venue regulations, all guests under 19 must leave following dinner. We have arranged childcare in the hotel next to the venue, please reach out if you're in need!

Question

How do I get from the church to the reception venue?

Answer

The reception venue, The Cable Wharf, is an 11-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from St. Matthew’s United Church. We recommend either walking or taking an Uber ride between locations. If you’ve chosen to drive, please refer to the parking instructions for The Cable Wharf below.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Parking near the reception venue (The Cable Wharf) is limited. Guests can use street parking along Lower Water Street and surrounding downtown streets, or nearby parkades along the waterfront. Recommended nearby parking options: Bishop’s Landing Lot – 1475 Lower Water St Salter Lot – 1521 Lower Water St Foundation Place Lot – 1549 Lower Water St These lots are a short walk to the venue and typically charge about $3/hour with evening flat rates around $6. We recommend Uber or Taxi where possible!
