It all started from a biology class at Shelton State community college. Rodney happened to share this class with my (Jerrica's) aunt, who meets no strangers. She wanted to know why he was late to class all the time, to which he answered he had to travel from UA because he was taking classes there as well. At the time, I was also enrolled at the UA, so my aunt's wheels started turning. She started telling him about her niece that she has that also attended UA, and how we should meet. She didn't leave me out; I knew all about the boy in her biology class that she thought I would love to meet. One fateful day, we did just that. I happened to be with my aunt when she made a bookstore run to Shelton. Rodney just so happened to be there as well. She flagged him down, introduced us, and that was all she wrote. Seven amazing years later and I'm looking to spend the rest of my life with the boy in my aunt's biology class <3.
It was Sunday, our 7th anniversary, and the day before exam 1 of my first semester in nursing school. I wasn't really looking to celebrate much; I was very much ok with taking a raincheck on our celebration and spending the day cramming for my big exam. Rodney convinced me that I could at least spare an hr to get something to eat, so off to Olive Garden I went. After dinner was over and the check had come, Rodney "had to use the bathroom" before we left. Well, he never came back from the bathroom. One of his best men showed up at the table instead with an envelope that would send me on a scavenger hunt to find Rodney. He sent me to five different locations, each significant in our relationship over the years. He had his groomsmen waiting at each location with my next clue. At the 5th location I finally found Rodney, waiting for me on the Riverwalk, accompanied by all his groomsmen that gave me clues and family. He then got on bended knee. Needless to say I said YES!
We are very excited to embark on this new journey together and look forward to what the future has in store. Thank you for visiting our site and don't forget to RSVP before you leave! See you at the wedding!! *Photo Creds: Anchored Images, LLC (www.anchoredimages.com)
