Paul and Shayna first crossed paths during a conversation over an internet post. (I know they met online, millennials am I right? 🙄 ) After some cheeky back and forth banter, emails were exchanged and conversation really began. After a few weeks of both of them eagerly awaiting the next reply, it was agreed to give out their numbers. Sparks flew, as within the first 4 days of having instantaneous contact; over 3,000 texts were sent. The entire conversation, you ask? A debate of who was the better superhero: Batman or the Flash? (Batman of course) 4 months went by, with only their phones as a point of contact. On October 14, 2015, they decided it was finally time to meet and discover if the attraction they felt over the phone, would be the same if they were in person. The day came and it was discovered that it was not............but so much more! Fast forward 6 months later and Shayna is packing everything she owns and moving to North Carolina. Saying good-bye to the only place she has truly ever known, and it turns out to be the best thing that she ever did. She and Paul grew ever closer, becoming the best friends, (they themselves never knew) they needed. Now 5 years later from that first initial contact, they spend their time hanging out, teaching Shayna to drink beer and enjoy it (yet failing), cooking, endlessly trying to trump the other in Mario Kart, going to Trivia, trying to help the other be better and both looking forward to spending the rest of their lives with their best friend. So here we stand, so looking forward to starting this new chapter together, and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people.
