Zac and Alizjah’s story began on a night that almost didn’t happen. Alizjah was out downtown Grand Forks with friends, including her best friend Kenzie, who as you may know, very openly does not love downtown. After a few drinks at The Bun, the group decided to switch things up and head DT, hoping for a change of pace. After hopping between a couple of bars and finding the night a little quieter than expected, they were on their way out when Kenzie began voicing her strong opinion that downtown wasn’t it—and that they should head back to The Bun. At that exact moment, Zac happened to be walking out of the same bar and chimed in with, “Yeah, let’s go to the Bun.” Everyone laughed, instantly bonding over the shared thought, and the group decided to head back together. Since they’d all been drinking, Zac offered to drive them... and that simple, spontaneous moment turned into the start of something unforgettable. The rest, as they say, is history.
