Coming Soon: The Samlall's

Once upon a time (okay, between 2010 and 2013), Aliyah and Joshua both walked the same halls of Queen's College. Though they weren’t exactly friends—thanks to being two years apart—they shared a constellation of mutual friends and likely crossed paths more than once. But fate clearly had better timing in mind. Years later, with high school behind them and adulthood in full swing, they reconnected through another mutual friend. It started with casual Instagram chats (about sleep cycles, of all things), evolved into cake exchanges, and turned into spontaneous hangouts—because, well, cake is sacred to both of them. By 2020, friendship had sweetly morphed into something more. Since then, they've been happily stuck together. After 5 years of laughter, love, and long debates over desserts, Joshua surprised Aliyah with a proposal while they were vacationing in Suriname on November 21st, 2025. And now, here we are. They’re getting married—finally! We’d be thrilled if you could join us to celebrate this sweet, silly, and beautiful love story in Suriname on August 9th, 2026.
