Aliyah and Corneilus’s story began back in high school, at a college football game they both happened to attend. While one of Corneilus’s friends wanted to follow Aliyah on Twitter, Corneilus didn’t say much that day—but later that night, he made his move and slid into her DMs. From there, a friendship quickly formed. Life took them in different directions for college—Corneilus to Miami and Aliyah in Chattanooga—but they stayed in touch over the years. It wasn’t until after college, when Aliyah moved to Atlanta and Corneilus was living in Charlotte, that everything came full circle. When Corneilus came to Atlanta for a family reunion, they reconnected—and this time, they never stopped talking. Their relationship grew naturally from there. Even with distance—whether Corneilus was in New York or back in Charlotte—they made it work, traveling back and forth to spend time together. By June 2020, they made it official, and from that point on, they’ve been inseparable. Together, they’ve built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared experiences—from traveling to the Caribbean, to trying new restaurants, to enjoying quiet nights watching their favorite shows. In July 2024, their love grew even deeper with the exciting news that they were expecting their perfect little boy, Easton. Now, they are ready to begin their next chapter as husband and wife, surrounded by the people they love most.
