FAQs

Question

Will there be a traditional ceremony?

Answer

We've decided to do things a bit differently! Shannon and Alix will have a private ceremony at an earlier date. At the reception, we'll exchange vows with all of you there to celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We love your loved ones, but due to venue capacity, we're unable to accommodate plus ones. We hope you understand!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

This will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives parents a chance to enjoy a night out!

Question

I have dietary restrictions. What should I do?

Answer

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP, and we'll make sure you're taken care of!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

While Alix and Shannon aren't big drinkers themselves, we'll be providing wine for our guests throughout the evening. The venue also has a bar onsite if you'd like to purchase additional beverages.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal attire! Think dressy and fun! We want everyone to feel fabulous while celebrating with us.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average temperature in Santa Maria in September tends to be mid 70's, but keep in mind it's coastal! Things may cool down in the evening, and the event will be entirely outside!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are plenty of hotels in the area! The event will be hosted at the Santa Maria Inn, so we definitely recommend staying there for convenience. If you prefer to stay closer to the beach, Pismo Beach is a great area to stay.

Question

Can I take photos during the celebration?

Answer

Yes, please! Photography is strongly encouraged. We'll have a shared Google Drive linked on the website where we ask that you share the photos you take at the wedding with everyone.
